Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Mrs. Kim

My name is Kimberlyn Chambers, otherwise known as “Mrs. Kim.”  It is a privilege and a blessing to be owner and lead teacher at Kids & Critters Christian Preschool.  I love the Lord and I love children as well as education and God's critters.  I enjoy combining all of these at our school.  Here is a little bit about me:

My Family: I have been married to my husband, Mark, since June of 1983 and we have three wonderful sons and two daughter-in-loves.  We are enjoying grandchildren that God has blessed us with and some pets the kids get to help take care of in the preschool.

My Education: I have a Christian Education Degree from Multnomah School of the Bible.  I have also taken several credit hours at Clark Community College in Early Childhood Education.  Some of my classes were:  Child Development, Child & Family, Guiding Behavior, and Environments for Children.

My Experience: Before opening the preschool here at our home, we had two other preschools and I was the site director for Luv ‘n Fun Child Care Center, Clark County Campus, which is part of Portland Christian Schools.  I taught preschool classes at Luv ‘n Fun for 7 years and was Site Supervisor there for 3 years.  I have been involved with young children’s classes at church for over 20 years.  We started Kids & Critters in the Fall of 2002.

My Passion: I have a desire to teach children and serve families in a Christian Preschool at home.  The Lord has provided us with a beautiful acre of park-like property and a detached building that works great as a preschool.  I am excited about what God is doing here!

Mrs. Jen

Hello, My name is Jennifer Chambers. I grew up in a Christian household and developed a strong love for and a close relationship with the Lord at a young age. As a young adult I also developed a love for children. My first experience working with kids was as a nanny where I worked with 4 different children over the course of 12 years. I also worked atCornerstone Christian Academy in their early childhood education program; during my time there I completed and attended numerous child development courses and seminars. From there I went to work with low income families at Innovative Services. There (similar to KCCPreschool) we offered low child to teacher ratios allowing us to focus on each child’s specific needs and development.
